A word from the founders.............. We are now well into the winter / spring season and the Meeting on the 14th of March will include a celebration of our first 10 Years! Over those ten years we have seen attendance figures grow year on year and we have been able to give some useful money to the various charities that we have supported. None of this would have been possible with out the continued support from our members, our speakers and of course our hosts at the Community Centre. The Wings and Wheels Team would like to thank all of you for making this possible. One of the many good causes that we have helped is the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway who had the misfortune to suffer two embankment collapses within a short period of time. As I'm sure most of you will know GWR reached their 1 million pound target in September this year and are looking forward to operating normally again. The picture below shows a recently re-patriated Turkish 8F in full steam. If you would like to see the rest of the pictures from this event please visit the Railway Galleries page.
