A word from the founders.............. The Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway have had the misfortune to suffer two embankment collapses recently which are believed to be due to the harsh weather conditions of the past two winters. As a consequence they need to raise approximateley1 Million pounds to cover the engineering works to enable the full stretch of line to be put back into operation. The Wings and Wheels Society will be doing what it can to support this organisation with some donations and we recently had a shed visit which raised some more money for them, the pictures can be viewed here, however, if you you would like to support them more in their hour of need please visit their web site www.gwsr.com/appeal. The picture below shows a recently re-patriated Turkish 8F in full steam. If you would like to see the rest of the pictures from this event please visit the Railway Galleries page.
